Ya os enseñé hace unos días (aquí) algunas fotografías de streetstyle de una de las tendencias de la temporada: el tartán. Y es que pudimos verlo en los desfiles de diseñadores como Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, Louis Vuitton y Tory Burch. Pero en realidad, el tartán lleva siendo tendencia mucho tiempo. Al menos desde el año 1500 antes de Cristo, según Patrice George, profesor asistente de desarrollo de textiles en el Fashion Institute of Technology. Esa es la fecha de la que data la pieza más antigua de tartán.

Other trend we can see everywhere this fall is plaid or tartan. It appeared in the fall runway collections of designers like Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, Louis Vuitton and Tory Burch. But plaid has been on trend for a long time. it's been around since at least 1500 BC, according Patrice George, an assistant professor of textile development for the Fashion Institute of Technology. That's the age of the oldest surviving piece of plaid in the world.
